The Woolshed Homestay is situated on a (400 acre) 160 hectare picturesque hill country dairy farm in Scotsmans Valley, Morrinsville, Waikato, New Zealand. The farm was converted from a sheep station to the present dairy farm some 20 years ago. The farm herd is milked on site and for those who wish to get up early the opportunity is there to watch a milking.

The old woolshed was recently converted to the present tastefully decorated and furnished home of John and Sandra Cottle. Constructed in a combination of concrete block and native timbers the woolshed is a charmer and the first thing you'll notice is the very pleasant natural scent of the various timbers. Well sealed roads lead to the property where there is plenty of off street parking.

Cell phone coverage on the property is poor however the woolshed does has modern telephone, fax and Internet services. In case you're wondering the tap water is safe to drink.

Checkout time is 11.00am or by arrangement.

The tranquil country surroundings will quickly ease your city tensions. In the warmer months a very pleasant evening can be spent out on the portico or on cold evenings there's nothing like sitting back to relax in front of The Woolshed's wood fire.

The view from the top of the farm is spectacular providing a 360 degree vista over much of Waikato's northern region.
